So, as I mentioned in my last journal, I'm going to start doing this feature on my website featuring photographers that I admire and I'm happy to report that the first one is online.

Hello to everyone. Well, it's been a good year since I've been here. Life has been somewhat hectic in the past 18 months, but now I'm here in America, I am settled, I have a job, apartment, car and a beautiful wife. Life is finally starting to slow down and I'm so thankful for that!

I've decided to come back to DA to a limited extent. I'm hoping to keep in touch with my nearest and dearest deviants here and also to keep my gallery updated and keep the prints rotating.

I've recently redesigned my website LightFast and I plan to keep that updated as well. As part of that updating process, I've decided to start up a feature on there, where I'll feature a different photographer every six weeks or so, interview them and show off their work and then link them to their webpage/gallery/shop. If you can think of anyone who has some exemplary work (yourself included if you are so inclined), be sure to link me to them!

Again, it's good to be back in my limited status and I hope everyone's well.

So, what've you been up to these past 18 months?

Well, as some of our nearest and dearest may be aware, I have been away for a few months because there have been some major changes in my life.

On August 8th 2006 I left my roots behind and moved to the States to be with the woman I love and on October 7th 2006, we confirmed our love for one another through the act of marriage.



The day went absolutely perfectly. Marti looked ABSOLUTELY gorgeous as did everyone else. Everything fell into place beautifully and a fabulous day was had by everyone.

Our photographer was =jkiner and we now have the official photos online and they look awesome!! Please view them here. There's quite a few, so be prepared, but it's worth checking them all out. Go tell Jason how awesome he is while you're at it.

Whilst we've been away, we appreciate the few who still took the time to try and make contact with us and we appreciate those who did. We apologise for not being online, but life has been (and still is) crazy since then.

I can honestly say I'm where I'm meant to be now and I've never been happier. I've found true love, love deeper than any valley and stronger than any material.

My life believe it or not has pretty much been centred around getting married to my incredible wife these past couple of months and now that's out the way, life can recommence again. I'm appreciating free time so much right now. There's just been so much going on... and once Halloween is out of the way, we'll be in a much better position.

Just waiting on my work permit before I can get a job, and until then I'm here at home, doing housework and sorting our lives out. Garage sale on Saturday. Woop!

Thank you for the greatest gift in the world Marti... You. I can't believe you're finally mine. I cherish the day we became one. I love you SO much my sweetpea.

So it's big change time.... As I write this journal there are just 11 days left until I fly to Florida on a one-way ticket.

Last Tuesday I had to go to the US Embassy in London to have my interview and BOY was that scary and nerve-wracking! We also slipped up on the financial aspect, but I managed to wangle that one. But, when you have God on your side, there really is NOTHING you can't do. So on Tuesday they told me my visa was approved and on Friday my documents were delivered. I've got a giant file I have to carry with me, as well as my chest x-ray to prove I don't have TB, and finally, the really important sexy document.

So, in short, the only emotion I have right now is excitement. I'm so very excited to finally be heading home to live with my princess. Unless you've been through this (and maybe not even then) you have no idea how this feels. There have been some tests and there have been some scares but the mountain of love always overcame them and we're still so very smitten with each other.

So that's it.... 11 more days here and I'll FINALLY be with her. Then we marry less than two months later We'll be sure to keep everyone updated though, especially since I shan't be working and I have loads of time on my hands.





OK, so of course, everything is centred around moving right now, obviously. Tomorrow night I'm having my main goodbye party for EVERYONE to attend and then I'll have a few more intimate gatherings through the week for my nearest and dearest. Tomorrow night should be really good and I'll be sure to post lots of pics.

My life is about to undertake probably it's biggest ever change and it won't be easy, of course it won't. I'm leaving behind all I've ever known and moving to a foreign land where the chocolate is nasty and the people talk funny I have had an amazing 21.4ish years so far and I cannot wait to really start living now. That was just a warm up, now for the real thing.

I thank everyone who's supported me in any way in the recent past, believe me it's been felt and has gone a long way. I hope you continue to stick by me, irrelevant of where I am in the world and I would LOVE it if you would all supply me with some credentials, so I can stay in touch with everyone. Would you all be so kind as to note me with as many of these detaisl as possible... I'm asking everyone at the party, but for those of you that won't be there...

Ta da!!! *does roly poly* So I'm finished.... I graduated on Wednesday at the Dome in Brighton and it was an awesome day. Here is the proof and here are the pictures. No laughing now... I hate not being in control of my camera

Marti, sweetest ever got me an awesome book which I think is quite big in America. I'd never heard of it, but it was such an awesome idea. It's "Oh the places you'll go!" by Dr Seuss. I thought it was such a cool book and love reading over it. Bless you Marti for giving me such a good day on Wednesday. it could only have been bettered by your presence
